What to expect

Lumbini is the Birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha. Hindus and Buddhist regards Lumbini as holy place. Buddhist from all over the world visits Lumbini for different purpose. The main attractions of Lumbini are Maya Devi Temple, Ashok Pillar and Banyan Tree (Bodhi). A pond is near the Maya Devi Temple where it is believed that Queen Maya Devi took bath before giving Birth to Lord Gautam Buddha. Almost every country has built monastery in Lumbini. It takes almost a day to visit all Monastries and to cover the Lumbini Area.
