01 / THE EXPERIENCE

Discover the journey

Chulu far east peak is one of the most beautiful and prominent peaks in Nepal. You get to explore traditional Himalayan villages and experience local culture as well as traditions. This will be the best choice for climbers looking for a remote location with little other traffic on their trek. The typical expedition to this peak includes the popular Thorong La pass to add to the adventure. The journey starts in Kathmandu, where you'll meet your guide and other trekkers before setting out on a picturesque drive to the trailhead. Starting in Chame, the trip follows the Marsyangdi River via verdant forests and age-old settlements like Pisang. The journey from Pisang continues to the base camp of the 3,900-meter-high Chulu Far East Peak. Although the ascent to the summit calls for a high degree of fitness and experience, the vistas are well worth the effort. The entire Annapurna range and other Himalayan peaks are visible from the summit. The walk continues across the difficult Thorong La Pass, which is located at an elevation of 5,416 meters, after reaching the top of Chulu Far East Peak. The pass provides not only wonderful views of the surrounding Himalayas but also the chance to interact with locals and other trekkers. The cultural experience, scenery and sense of achievement makes this journey well worth the effort.
