Trip Introduction: Everest Base Camp is a popular trekking destination located in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It is the starting point for climbers attempting to summit Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. The trek to Everest Base Camp offers stunning views of the Himalayas, including iconic peaks like Lhotse, Nuptse, and of course, Everest itself. The journey to Base Camp is challenging but incredibly rewarding, as trekkers pass through picturesque Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries, and breathtaking alpine landscapes. Whether you are a seasoned trekker or a first-time adventurer, Everest Base Camp is sure to leave you with unforgettable memories and a newfound appreciation for the beauty of the Himalayas.
Journey at a glance
Day Day 01:: Arrival in Kathmandu. — Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival in Tribhuwan Int’l Airport, our representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check in. Day Day 02:: Drive to Ramechhap — Drive to Ramechhap (approx. 5-6 hrs) for an overnight stay. Overnight at hotel/lodge in Ramechhap Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day 03:: Fly to Lukla & trek to Phakding — Fly from Ramechhap to Lukla on a domestic flight. Duration of flight is approx. 25 minutes. Upon reaching Lukla, start your trek from Lukla to Phakding (2,610 meters). Trek duration: 3/4 hrs. Overnight at hotel/lodge in Phakding. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day 04:: Trek to Namche bazaar — Trek from Phakding to Namche (3,440 meters). Trek duration: 5/6 hrs Overnight at hotel/lodge in Namche. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day 05:: Acclimatization day in Namche — Acclimatization in Namche. Acclimatization hike around Khumjung valley. Overnight at hotel/lodge in Namche. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day 06:: Trek to Tengboche — Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,860 meters). Trek duration: 5/6 hrs. Overnight at hotel/lodge in Tengboche. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day 07:: Trek to Dingboche — Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410 meters). Trek duration: 5/6 hrs Overnight at hotel/lodge in Dingboche. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day 08:: Acclimatization day in Dingboche — Acclimatization in Dingboche. Acclimatization hike around Dingboche for 3/4 hrs. Overnight at hotel/lodge in Dingboche. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day 09:: Trek to Lobuche — Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,930 meters). Trek duration: 4/5 hrs Overnight at hotel/lodge in Lobuche. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day: 10: Trek to Gorakshep & EBC — Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,140 meters). Afternoon trek from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp (5,357 meters) and back to Gorakshep. Trek duration: 6/7 hrs. Overnight at hotel/lodge in Gorakshep. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day: 11: Morning trek Kalapathar, Back to Pheriche — Early morning climb to Kalapathar (5,550 m) enjoy the incredible view of Mt Everest, Khumbase, Pumari, range of Chho-Yu, Khumbu Glacier Amadablam, Everest Base Camp, then trek down to Pheriche. Overnight at hotel/lodge in Pheriche. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day: 12: Trek to Debouche — Trek Back to Debouche (3820 m) for about 5 hours. Overnight at Lodge. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day: 13: Trek to Namche — Trek Back to Namche (3440 m) for about 5 hours. Overnight at Lodge. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day 14: Trek to Lukla — Trek Back to Lukla (2860 m) for about 5 hours. Overnight at Lodge. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day Day: 15: Fly back to Ramechhap & drive to Kathmandu — Fly from Lukla to Ramechhap. Afterwards drive back to Kathmandu. Meals included: Breakfast & Lunch Day Day: 16: Departure — Departure transfer to Kathmandu airport for your onward journey. Meals included: Breakfast
