Discover the journey

Lobuche Peak, standing at 4,950 meters, boasts two distinct summits: East and West, with elevations of 6,119 meters and 6,145 meters respectively. The East summit is commonly referred to as the 'trekking peak,' while the West summit is renowned as an 'Expedition peak,' both connected by a ridge. Reaching Lobuche Peak entails embarking on a journey to Everest Base Camp via Gorakhshep. Climbing Kala Patthar at 5,550 meters not only offers stunning views of Everest but also serves as excellent acclimatization and exercise preparation before ascending Lobuche. As one approaches Lobuche, its imposing presence, resembling a dark triangular silhouette, dominates the landscape above the Khumbu glacier. Ascending the East summit involves descending through a marked notch before ascending steep snowy slopes to reach the top. From the summit, climbers are rewarded with panoramic views of majestic peaks such as Cholatse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Everest, and Tawoche, creating an unforgettable mountaineering experience.
