Mount Annapurna is a 55 km long enormous massif in the Himalayas, which includes one peak over 8000m, 13 peaks over 7000m & 16 peaks over 6000m. Annapurna is surrounded by Kali Gandaki Gorge, Marshyangdi River & Pokhara Valley. The highest peak of the massif, Annapurna I is the tenth highest mountain in the world at 8091m above sea level. Annapurna I was the first eight-thousanders peak to be climbed & to be conquered on the first attempt. The peak prone to avalanches and the high rate of fatality makes this mountain dangerous to climb. The main to route to climb is the South-faced route.
