Full refunds are less common but might be offered. Personal Reasons: Refunds are typically less likely if the cancellation is due to personal reasons, though some operators might offer a rescheduling option. Transferability: Some operators allow you to transfer your booking to another person if you can no longer attend. This often requires advance notice and may be subject to additional fees. Emergency Situations: Health Issues: In the event of health issues or emergencies, operators may be more flexible, but this usually requires documentation and is at their discretion. Operator-Specific Policies: Always check the specific cancellation policy of the trekking company you are booking with. This information is often found in the booking terms and conditions. Insurance: Travel Insurance: It’s highly recommended to have travel insurance that covers cancellations, especially if you are booking a trek far in advance or are prone to unexpected changes. To get precise information, refer to the cancellation policy provided by your trekking operator or contact them directly.
