Discover the journey

Explore the sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley of Tsum, nestled in the northern Gorkha region. This hidden gem boasts ancient art, rich culture, and profound religious significance. Inhabited by locals of Tibetan origin, the valley preserves its unique dialect, adding to the allure of this remote Himalayan destination. Trekking through Tsum Valley unveils untouched beauty, providing mesmerizing views of landscapes and majestic mountains like Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, and Boudha Himal. Opened to trekkers in 2008, Tsum Valley remains relatively pristine, featuring ancient villages and Tibetan Buddhist monasteries awaiting exploration. The trek typically spans 5–8 hours per day, with the highest point reaching 4,000m near Mu Gompa, the largest monastery in the valley. Accommodations during the trek include lodges and traditional home stays, allowing you to immerse yourself in the local culture. Expect a rudimentary lifestyle, similar to the locals, with meals consisting of Dal Bhat, Chapatis, and noodle soup. The Tsum Valley offers a unique and hospitable experience, and if you're ready for a bit of adventure and cultural immersion, this trek is perfect for you. Obtaining a Tsum Valley Trekking Permit is cost-effective compared to other restricted areas, making it an accessible adventure. Our Tsum Valley Trekking Itinerary can be tailored to your preferences and timeframe.
