Among the 14 national parks and wildlife reserves in the Kingdom, the Chitwan Nationals Park (932 Sq Km) is the most popular safari destination. More than 43 species of animals are found in Chitwan. The endangered one-horned rhino, Royal Bengal tiger, Gharial crocodile, four-horned antelope, striped hyena and the Gangetic dolphin are the main attractions here. The best part is that it is close to Kathmandu and easily; accessible (only 165 Km overland) and Bharatpur airport adjoining the park is mere 25 minute flight away (there are daily flights from Kathmandu). Many adventures also choose to go down by Rafting through Trishuli River. In whatever way you go, a jungle safari is an experience you will remember for a long time.

Journey at a glance

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival — Meet us at the airport, you are welcomed by the hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to your hotel. Accommodation: Hotel Day 2: Kathmandu — Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah Kings of Nepal, visiting Kumari Temple, house of the virgin goddess, visiting Swoyambhunath, a stupa on the top of hill - from here you can overlook the scenery of Kathmandu, Visiting Patan city, the second largest town in the valley, Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple etc. Accommodation: Hotel, Meals: Breakfast Day 3: Kathmandu - Chauradi - Chitwan — After early morning breakfast, transfer Kathmandu to Chauradi (rafting starting point), Enjoy river rafting on Trisuli River with exciting 2-3 grade rapids. After lunch drive to Chitwan. Evening enjoy with Tharu stick dance/slide show. Accommodation: Hotel, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 4: Chitwan — After breakfast, full day Jungle Activities; Elephant Safari, Tharu Village Walk, Jungle Walk, Visit to Elephant Breeding Center, Canoe ride along the Rapti River, Bird Watching etc. Accommodation: Hotel, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 5: Chitwan - Kathmandu — After breakfast, Transfer to Kathmandu by surface.
